Peter Woolcock was one of Bermuda’s leading political cartoonist
2013 marked 30 years since that fateful day when, after realizing that this particular niche was void of content, Peter took a few sketches into the daily newspaper (The Royal Gazette).
1983 was election year in Bermuda and in Peter’s own words “the situation had become so irresistible…”
His cartoons for the Royal Gazette have been collected in the annual “Woppened” for two decades. He has also illustrated children’s books, including Andrew Stevenson’s “The Turtle Who Ate a Balloon“(2007) and “The Adventures of Bermuda’s Toad with One Eye” (2008).
